Her head aches, stomach eating at her for nutrients. “Why are you doing this to me?” The other siren stares at her begging for a look into her tear-filled, sea-foamed eyes. Known as Ocean.
“I’m not doing anything.” She finally looks up knowing what her piercing green eyes could do as well, known as Emerald. “You know how you’re acting right now.” Ocean darts back, yearning for answers. The green eyes went back down to the black marbled dining table, irritable of her company’s next move. “Why can’t you just look at me and talk to me? I don’t get what is happening with us.”
“Nothing is happening with us.” She snares back. “Why don’t you just go back to him, it’s what you do best.”
“What are you talking about?” She questions in shock.
“You know it doesn’t matter what I’m talking about, you don’t need me and I don’t need you.” Tears drip down both their faces, staying in silence, they had nothing to say to each other. Ocean still stays in the wooden chestnut chair, time moving by like a deallocate.
“You’re water and I’m earth.” Emerald finally says. “It’s better this way.”
“When did that ever matter? We’ve been inseparable since the day we met.”
“Well it’s over now, so you can just leave.” Emerald gets up to begin to wash the dishes, craving for a distraction. “No, it’s not ending like this.” Ocean jolts toward her. “I deserve an explanation.”
“Yes, you deserve everything, that’s why you need to leave, now.”
“No.”
“I hate you, go get shredded by a bloody shark.”
“I know you don’t mean that.” Ocean gives her a miserable look.
“What else do you want from me? It’s over, go!” Emerald stabs back.
“No, what do you want?” She snaps.
“What?”
“You know I can feel everything.” Her powers allowed her to sense auras.
“I’m not doing this I’m done.” She turns back to the dishes in the sink.
“No.” She turns her back to her. “Look at me and say it to my damn face.”
Emerald’s eyes down then back up looking into the sea, she grabs her faces and kisses her deeply. Kissing like she had nothing else to live for. Ocean at first in surprise but doesn’t push away. The kiss turned into electricity itself, but she soon pulls away.
“I have to go.”
